I have just rechecked out your gallery mate. It has always been one of my favourites. Damn you have a sense of style. That Pans panel is amazing.

Any complaints about new center?

I've always heard a matching center is very important.

Am looking at old series B&W CM Centre 2 with new CM9 S2, sure they'd be pretty close to the same. Also old CM9 and old CM Centre 2 are an option. But have read good things about new CM series.

Pointers? Of course! Have no kids or pets. That's the only way you'll get something this minimalist,

Where at in Miami? Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks - although the pillow is real, I'm sure you know that my window didn't actually become a window into the mind of Ophelia,

Let me tell you that I've decided to shrink my screen to 80" over the summer when I build my next DIY screen. I think 92" is too close for 7'6". The crap in bad cable feeds and bad encodes in movies really stands out a lot. I may also select a new DIY paint mix.

Not at all. The Verus Grand blows the Venere center out of the water as dramatically as the Venere center destroyed my old HTM62. I can pick up of no instances of noticeable lack of timbre matching and I couldn't be any more satisfied. The receiver no longer boosts up the center to keep up - it's basically a 42 pound tower arranged horizontally.

The greatest piece of equipment to benefit from my new Denon receiver was the Epik subwoofer, for sure. It has far more detail, power, nuance than I thought it possessed. I thank Audyssey XT32 and its sub calibration for that - my old Pioneer never did that.

Tell you what, I've settled on perfection:

Lamp on High, Gamma at 2.4 with the Filter on.

I know, I know, re: lamp on high. But Low Lamp sometimes caused flicker and lacked some pop. Lamp on High w/ G at 2.4 gives me the perfect balance that I like now between blacks, colors, contrast and lack of issues.

Saw 4 movies yesterday from 5pm to 1am and I couldn't have been more pleased. (Tarzan, Land Before Time, Battle of the Five Armies, Fellowship of the Ring)

Excellent news.

Yeah I have my Gamma set on 2.4 as well. With a slight bump on the bottom to bring out some shadow detail.

I use to always tweak Gamma on my older projectors and was never totally satisfied. I think as they never went totally black. Now the new projector virtually goes black* I have set and forgot. Never seem to touch Gamma or anything for that matter.

* I was doing the hand puppet test on mine the other day. Putting my hand up to make a shadow in the black bars. I couldn't see my hand if it was still. Only if I wriggled them around and even then it took a few seconds to focus on them. So my black level is basically set at shadow level. I couldn't be more happy.
