I blame the directing and script, not Stahl. I'm sure with better directing and writing he would've done fine. It doesn't help that the writing also makes his Connor quite idiotic when he asks the Terminator if he remembers the events of T2 when he should know none of the Terminators are the same and thus wouldn't share memories.

The movie to me just feels like a rehash and bad spoof of T2 that at the last minute tries to be serious. It's also not very entertaining overall to me. Maybe not boring per say but it lacks the wow factor the first two both have that still makes them timeless.

Pretty much. It would be an unnecessary sequel either way, but I feel like Mostow's direction really prevents it from being a solid action film anyway.

Not to mention after T2, what else could be done? There's a reason another sequel didn't happen for so long after T2, not counting the T2 3D attraction at Universal (which is very cool but obviously not canon).

If they had to do a third film, I feel a prequel set during the future war should've been done with the ending leading directly to the events of the first two with Reese and the protector T-800 both being sent to their respective timelines for their duties. From what I read about the original opening sequence planned for T2 that was axed due to budget reasons that could've made for quite an epic film.

No way ! I've seen CoM like 5-6 times vs The Hustler 2x, it's a classic alright but Color of Money is awfully underrated in comparison IMO

Return Of The Living Dead Part II is another I've always been a fan of. The original ROTLD is forever a classic but dare I say it, I prefer the second. Both movies are a ball, though. I like ROTLD3 but it feels so different from the first two.
