Lost Galaxy wasn't THAT bad.

Lightspeed Rescue was meh, and Time Force has it's own cult.

EDIT: I almost forgot about Lost Galaxy, I did enjoy that for awhile. But I fell out of love with Power Rangers halfway through, which is why I forgot about it. lol

Umm...that couldn't be any more untrue. Where did you get THAT impression. Space is regarded as one of the best and more popular seasons of PR.

I used to roam Power Rangers forums a few years back... Space is adored by many of the die-hards but amongst casual fans it doesn't get much respect (probably because many stopped watching during Turbo when the cast changed).

Space was just all-around awesome. Just a shame they didn't get to show all the awesome battleizer armor.

I'm currently in the middle of Zeo but after I finish it, you're saying to give RPM a try? I honestly don't know what other seasons are good/bad.

Yes, RPM is adored by many diehards. It has a lot of fun with the premise and tropes, meta if you will. And the setting is unique for the series. Definitely worth a watch. I'd also give Time Force a go if you haven't already. The story and characters are top notch.

Back when i was kid... The Mighty Morphin were the real deal ... I lost all interest in them when Saban introduced the new rangers in space, lost galaxy etc..

Hopefully they would one day release MMPR in HD.

I know Turbo blows and I simply don't have the patience to watch dozens of more Power Rangers seasons in the hope of finding one I like. tbh, Zedd/Rita and the original cast are what mainly keep me going, as well as the classic "Go Go Power Rangers" theme. But these are just my opinions, of course.

HD's not gonna happen sadly. They were mastered on standard definition video.

After looking at the 20+ minute video I downloaded from YouTube that contains all the opening title sequences for every Power Rangers season I have to say, I'm not too impressed with the theme songs for Time Force and RPM. There are plenty of worse PR songs, though.

OverDrive had the ABSOLUTE worst theme!

Trust me, no one is. RPM had, what, seven words total. As corny as it is, don't judge a book by its cover, or in this case, opening sequence. As bad as the openings are, the exact opposite can be said about the seasons themselves. I really can't stress that enough.

All right then. After I finish Zeo, I'll post here and let you guys know if I decide to give Time Force/RPM a shot.

Great/Good PR theme songs
Mighty Morphin
Zeo
In Space
Lost Galaxy

Meh/Bad PR theme songs
Turbo
Light Speed Rescue
Time Force
Wild Force
Ninja Storm
Dino Thunder
SPD
Jungle Fury
RPM

WTF/LOL PR theme songs
Mystic Force
Operation Overdrive

I'm torn on Samurai/Super Samurai. On the one hand, it's a cheap knockoff of the original MMPR theme, which is better than sucking altogether. On the other hand, the actors calling out their names is really stupid. So maybe it goes in the "meh" column. I found it amusing that the main PR cast in these seasons could all pass for super models.

Most of these songs are just the titles of the shows being repeated 80 times in 30 seconds.

This is so incredibly wrong that I have to bump the thread just to call attention to its wrongness. Saying that the original of anything is always best is simply turning a blind eye to the instances where it isn't. The Empire Strikes Back? Better than A New Hope. Banjo-Tooie? Better than Banjo-Kazooie. The Lord of the Rings? Better than The Hobbit. The play The Phantom of the Opera? Better than the book The Phantom of the Opera. I think I've made my point.
