You're right about those stickers. First and only time Goo Gone failed me.
You did?? Wow! Did you use a tool of some sort to remove the sticker? That never happened to me and I always use Goo Gone on my slips.

Yeah it looks like that price sticker is very, very old. And the older it gets, the tougher it is to remove it.
MMMMM!! I love the smell of brand new slipcovers!!!

No tool, just slowly peeled off like normal. Again, I think I just didn't let it soak through both stickers. By the time I noticed what was happening, it was too late. I've been much more careful since.

Yeah maybe that would of helped. But you have to remember. Letting Goo Gone soak on the sticker too long will soften the slip and while removing the sticker with your fingernail will also cause damage to the slip. I've done that a few times

Still won't be perfect. I usually have a tiny indentation where I first peel the sticker back but it's definitely the right move. Let it soak on.

Glad to see I'm not the only one annoyed by these stupid stickers!

I've stopped trying to get the Best Buy white ones off all together now. They seem to be the worst ones.

My life is complete: I peeled off a Best Buy pricing sticker IN ONE PIECE with no sticker residue left behind on my Icons slip for 28 Days Later...using nothing but my index finger, thumb, and about 90 seconds of slowly peeling it back.

The same cannot be said of my other purchases yesterday at Costco and Best Buy.

*grumbles as I gather paper towels and Goo Gone*
Ermahgherd!! Terrget Steelberks!

No digibooks or metalpaks! Steelbooks, slipcovers, digipaks, or amarays (if I must) only!

OT But does amyone remember going to Costco in the late nineties and buying a DVD that would come in its own studio specific cardboard riser/stand. What happened to those excessive times!

Like the stickers on the X-Men DOFP and Earth to Echo slips recently. I hated that giant freaking Scan Code sticker on Echo. It blocked the tagline on the slip and was a pain to get off. Those foil slips I'm always afraid I'll peel off some of the art if I'm not careful. Goo Gone usually works on store price stickers though.

Typed this out in a different thread, so I figured I'd post them here too.

strumdogg's quick Goo Gone instructions:

-Put 2-3 drops on the Walmart/Best Buy price sticker.
-Rub it into the entire sticker with your finger; make sure to cover all edges.
-Let it sit for 2 minutes.
-GENTLY, peal the sticker off. Voila!

Now...

-With your finger, rub the remaining Goo Gone liquid over any leftover adhesive until it dissolves (you'll know when you feel the area is the same texture as the rest of the slip).
-Take a damp cloth or paper towel, and wipe away the leftover Goo Gone/adhesive residue.
-Wipe dry, and you have a perfect slip!

How did I know there would be a finger comment (although, it wasn't as bad as I thought).

Tactile sense (for me) is much more useful when rubbing off the remaining adhesive. I've never damaged a slip with my finger.
