Agreed. I just wish it was restored, remastered, and presented in its OAR of 1.66:1 instead of 1.78:1.

Yeah, instead Warner treats this title like a bastard stepchild.

I would double dip to buy a copy with that deleted scene of Lancelot, Guenevere, and the bandit if nothing else.

Hope it's okay to post this here as I just stumbled across it - a company is in the process of making a documentary (titled: "Behind the Sword in the Stone") about the making of Excalibur, featuring new interviews with many of the cast (including Nigel Terry, Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, Cherie Lunghi, Gabriel Byrne, etc and of course director John Boorman). It looks like all of the interviews have now been completed (all work so has has been financed out of the producers own pockets) and they are looking for donations in order to complete post production on the documentary:
http://www.indiegogo.com/excaliburdoc?c=home I've donated, but they have just 14 days to reach their $30,000 target. Just thought I'd throw it out there - feel free to spread the word. Last edited by Barbossa; 01-02-2013 at 02:05 PM. |

Damn you, Warner Bros! You make the little people finance behind-the-scenes Excalibur documentaries as you greedily roll around in your mountains of gold!

Well, they HAVE released DELIVERANCE in a digibook. While I wish they used one of the artwork panels as the main cover (as opposed to the kinda generic photoshopped version), there are some really interesting articles and pics inside.
I think it would be cool to see both EXCALIBUR and ZARDOZ on digibooks! Is there any way to create a petition to Warner Brothers? |

If you wanted to start a petition, I would definitely post in the digibook thread to gather your army! |
