I'm close to doing that myself. Since Murphy called off part IV, we'll probably never see the other 2 released in the US.

That's not true. As of January 2015 it's still in the works to try and meet a 2016 release date. http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/new...ly-hills-cop-4

Yeah, it's technically "on hold" until they come up with a script Murphy is happy with. We'll see if that happens.

But I'm not expecting 2-3 being released in the US unless there's a part 4.

I figure I'll be either going for the Trilogy from the UK or the individual releases from Japan.

I keep putting off a UK import since I have the DVD trilogy and they look okay for an 80's comedy series. One day I'll give in though.

The steelbook of the first one is good if you are a fan. Should be cheap too - mine was. Not bothered about the other two films really.

Here is the screenplay for Beverly Hills Cops AKA Beverly Hills Cop IV

I don't think it will be happening either, how many years have we been waiting for this sequel now? Too long. Murphy keeps talking but nothing is happening, filming start dates have been delayed multiple times because of him.

I like the second one a lot too, probably because I watched it on HBO and Cinemax constantly as a kid.
