Welcome to the internet; we've been waiting for you.
I've been online since the mid-90's.

Most of the abbreviations are just people being lazy.

Oh, I grant that (acronyms were developed to save time, but invariably, they just frustratingly extend it while readers struggle to reverse-translate them), but by applying a little context, you may find it less difficult to make sense of them. Of course, YMMV.

Well, I guess you're not a big Trekkie since they're all pretty apparent in their context. Either that, or perhaps someone's too lazy to put @ and 2 together.

A shame they've not recalled the Season 1 discs with the dodgy audio.
Devil in the Dark has missing audio that's present on the foreign tracks and The Menagerie has incorrect audio over the top of the original sound ( correct on the mono).

Or have they snuck out corrected discs since the release without doing a replacement?

The Devil in the Dark error is really annoying

I avoid acronyms in my posts, in my work emails, and in all of my other correspondence. The time-saving benefits of typing acronyms are negligible at best, and I like to make sure that people understand my sentences.

That said, I just had a good chuckle reading these past several posts. I would not have guessed, "Voyage Home."

My wife and I both looked at here and said she must have heard it wrong than I looked it up online and we were shocked and saddened, including my daughter who I passed down some of my Trek-iness to. I was thinking over the past few weeks it was time to start re-watching my TOS set again, I guess it is. SheElohim yevarach otha Leonard.
