You should have asked him to grab you a VHS off of one of the shelves.

Sorry to ask a potentially redundant question but is the latest edition an improvement in PQ or AQ from the emerald colored edition?

From what I understand, not really, unless you're going for the 3D version.

I'm looking to get the 3D version, but I don't want to miss any special features. If I have the Emerald Edition, will I be missing any features by just getting the regular 3D combo pack instead of the limited set?

You'll want the Target exclusive version then.

Yeah, just get the 3D combo pack to get the new 3D edition and documentary. The rest of the special features are on the Emerald Edition from 2009. The new edition dropped a classic TV documentary hosted by Angela Lansbury. Seemingly, Warner Brothers has to pay the estate of Jack Haley Jr. when they use it, and they didn't want to do that anymore. They offered to buy the documentary, but it was turned down, so they created a new one in HD that uses some of the same archive material and interviews.

Who thinks the 70th anniversary 3-disc set looks excellent in it's 2009 restoration? a classic fantasy has never looked better.

Does anyone know if the Hong Kong 75th Anniversary release (3 discs) is identical to the 3 Bluray discs of the US release?
http://www.yesasia.com/global/the-wi...0-en/info.html

I'm interested only in discs 2 and 3 from the 5 disc US set (2d movie and extras), and the Hong Kong version is the only one that includes them.
Other 2 disc versions have the 3D disc and 2D disc without the extras disc.
Most wanted Blurays: Raintree County (2015?), Star Wars OT, Sissi Trilogy, Spacecamp, Spacehunter: adventures in the forbidden zone, Maurice, Explorers, Mayerling, Supergirl, Krull (2014), Free Willy, Return to Oz, True Lies (2014?), Abyss (2014?), Bringing Up Baby, Death in Venice, Wilde, Ulysses 31, Ducktales, Candy Candy (anime series)

I finally watched the 3D version that I purchased. It looks amazing in 3D! Although, I forgot when I purchased it how much I haaaaaaaaate this movie. I wanted it for my collection though, so I don't mind.
“You don't understand, this is an Alaia"

Female actors are not “actresses", they are actors the same as men.

Loving the hell out of that Avatar. Zordon forever !

So of these two, is there a significant enough difference between the 70th and 75th anniversary editions to care? I admit that I've had my eye on the 70th anniversary version (The price hasn't come down on that boxed set though, damn), what other than a 3-D version and the UV code does the 75th offer?

It has a new documentary
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."
"Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?"

" I told you 158 times I hate little notes on my pillow. 'We are all out of Corn Flakes F.U.' it took me three hours to realize that F.U. stood for Felix Ungar."

Like I have told others, find the Target Exclusive version of the 75th. All of the On-Disk COntent, none of the crap, except for a small HardCover book. The overall Size of the package is slightly less than 2 normal cases.
