I agree, although it does have an effect on the big team up (Avengers) movies.
Just a fly in the ointment. The monkey in the wrench. The pain in the ass.

They're not going to stretch out to a whole other phase to conclude Thanos' arc, that'd be crazy. I think the talk concerning the two films scenario implied they'd be consecutive.

So Avengers 3 will wrap up the Thanos arc?

If the two films idea plays out, to the best of my knowledge it'd be Avengers 3 followed by "Infinity Gauntlet"*

*Or whatever it'll be titled, I'm just throwing that out to give it a name.

It looks like Avengers 4 will be the one to do that.

Well, Ultron has different forms because he's evolves and gets stronger after each battle right? Maybe he's starts off as robotic like this

and becomes more human in the next version that we see at the end of the trailer? Thus the no strings line. (Reminds me of Cell from DBZ.) That's some deep sh** right there!
It's showtime, folks!

I do recall reading something similar, but it sounds a little absurd. That would imply that Whedon never saw a film in 2:35, which seems a little unlikely.

I loved the idea of Avengers being in a different aspect ratio, as it gave the "end game" of the Marvel films a unique signature.

I am also very, very cautious of what Tyler is doing with the score. Apparently he's trying to channel John Williams for this film, but I don't know what he means, as he is no John Williams.

I wonder if he will use Silvestri's Avengers cue, as that was perfectly fitting.

So, Cap's broken shield in the trailer -- where do you guys stand? Some kind of vision, or reality?

I'm leaning towards Cap's shield actually getting broken. No vision, no playing -- it really gets broken. That would be a huge "oh, sh!t" moment for the audience, especially since it will most likely be Ultron himself who breaks it.

Part of the film shot in Africa, so maybe Cap visits Wakanda at the end of the film to get it repaired. Or the shield is still broken at the end of the film and it's not until Cap 3 that it gets fixed.

Cap has lost his shield before in the comics (anyone remember that energy shield? Woof), so it's not blasphemy. The shield is iconic, he'd get it back. But I think the shield actually getting broken will make for a shocking moment in the film (despite being shown in the trailer) while simultaneously telling everyone that Ultron is to be taken seriously.
