The only thing worse than people asking questions throughout is someone actually saying "PAUSE" for the sole purpose of asking a question.

Drives me absolutely nuts. A rule in my home is "save your questions until after the movie."

The number one thing is when people get up and leave, then come back over and over. They always sit right in the middle on the row. And they expect you to get up, so they can walk past you. And then you end up looking like scum if you don't feel like standing up for the 10th time for this douchebag.

Hanging up phones without saying goodby or anything like that. They do it all the time. Makes no sense.

EDIT : Nevermind, I misunderstood the thread-title.

Asking, "So, what just happened there?" RIGHT before the movie explains exactly what happened there.

My bestie has several annoying movie-watching habits, the most maddening of which is probably her propensity for swallowing even the most absurd character or plot developments with seeming satisfaction, but dismissing the most time-honored classics due to piddly continuity errors and such.

One time I left the theater to watch the movie another time was for I Am Legend. I went to see the midnight showing on Imax, solely because they were showing the opening scene from The Dark Knight as a sneak peak before the movie started.

The movie starts and when Smith is trying to hunt the deer this stupid b*** behind me asks her bf or date or whatever, "what's he doing". It was clear as day what he was doing and the dumb ass kept asking him more questions. This is within like the first 10-15 minutes. I couldn't take it anymore and got up and got a pass for another showing.

I can't watch movies with my parents anymore. They've gotten really bad at talking through them, especially my dad, who is constantly guessing the course of the plot out loud. "Watch, he's gonna call that guy and find out . . . Yeah, see, he's calling him. So he found out that other guy did get the information, so now he's gonna have to hurry up and get to the girl first before that guy does." Or while he's wondering out loud why characters are doing something, they're explaining it in the film and he's missing it because he's busy talking. Or he's trying to identify a certain type of vehicle. "I think that's a '73. I knew a guy who had one years ago, so I think it's a '73 but it might be a '72."

Argh! Drives me crazy! That's at home, mind you. I've seen movies with them in the theater and never had a problem. But at home, it's another story. Now I just recommend a movie to them instead of trying to watch it with them. My brother and friends are more like myself, and like to just sit and watch a movie. Maybe a stray comment here and there but nothing intrusive, especially if it's a first time viewing.

Was watching a porno with my mate the other day, and he got his wang out and started bashing the lizard. It was most off-putting!
