Just picked up the 3 Target steelbooks for $11 each, $33 total. Worth the double dip. First steelbook(s) I've ever bought actually.

I can't believe that this set is still $30. Just recently, Amazon had the Ocean's trilogy for $9.99. So, I don't understand why this Bourne trilogy set couldn't go as low as $9.99. I mean, come on!

It's on Amazon's deals calender for this week

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=%26%2574%2561g%3d%2562l%2575r%2561yf%256fr%257 5m%252d20?ie=UTF8&docId=1000845091&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKI KX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-1&pf_rd_r=1KZMQ1N7NB86NE369Y7Q&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_ p=1419986002&pf_rd_i=1000451311&tag=blurayforum-20

I'm hoping for $14.99 but I'll probably pick it up if it's $19.99.

Oo, you're a hard man to please (just like me). The Bourne's are just so much better the the Ocean's. I paid £8.95 for the trilogy about a month ago, that'll do for me.

I have to agree. I blind bought the Ocean's trilogy during BF and I regret it. The first one was great but the two sequels were terrible. I wouldn't have blind bought it if all my friends didn't ramble on about how awesome the trilogy is. Now I ended up wasting $10 because of them.

Does anyone know if the discs in this set (see link above) are "flipper" discs or are they the single sided ones?

edit: whoops! just looked at the customer images at the link, they are not flippers...

I was interested in getting the Target Steels.

I have the first three Blu-Ray-DVD combos that are flippers and both have the Universal 100th slip. I haven't opened them and was gonna sell them once I bought the Steels.

Are the Steels the Blu-Ray DVD combo flipper discs just repackaged in the steelbox? Or is this a different copy?

I don't really care if it's a flipper or not, but was more curious if they were combo pack like the Universal 100th set.
Slipcovers Wanted
  • Pandorum (lenticular), Sin City (Canadian), No Country for Old Men, Minority Report, Casino Royale, Pulp Fiction, Lawless, Where the Wild Things Are, Planet 51, Scott Pilgrim vs. World, Watchmen (lenticular), Stand By Me, Terminator

The Universal 100th Anniv discs are still flippers, not combos.

Well technically a flipper is still a combo since it's 2 for 1, but I get your point.

I bought The Bourne Trilogy set back in January and finally watched all three movies today. (It's a cold, uncomfortable day here in my neck of the woods, y'all.)

The picture quality for all three of these movies is really something else. I expected as such, because they've always been great-looking films even on my old DVD editions, but the Blu-rays are vastly superior. The two sequels are the best, especially in the nighttime city scenes with streetlights and with the detail of character faces, but the first film looks remarkable to my eyes as well.

It's all good. It's been a couple of years at least since I last revisited these movies, and I had forgotten how effective they are as action/spy thrillers.

I'm about to watch my Blu-ray of The Bourne Legacy, and, since I loved it in the theater, I'm expecting great things.

I figure that I'll be ready to jump off a bridge if I hear the Moby song again anytime soon after today, but I'm thoroughly enjoying these viewings in every other way right now.
