Dealing with motion blur on budget hardware.

So, in January I made my first HDTV and Blu-ray player purchase and overall I'm very happy. I didn't have a ton of money to spend and find myself happier not going top of the line crazy right away, takes the fun out of being able to upgrade later, lol.

Here's the TV I own: http://hisensecanada.com/tvs/K360/40/80 The page doesn't give much info though. The refresh rate is 60hz.

This is the Blu-ray player I have: http://www.walmart.com/ip/LG-Blu-ray...BP220/20565690

It seems like from the research I've done, it all comes down to refresh rates. I can deal with the issue of motion blur, but if there's anything I can do to reduce it, I'd like to try.

My player allows for selection of 24hz or 60hz for playback. Which would be better, if it makes a difference? I've also turned off all image processing on my TV such as noise reduction (there aren't many settings to choose from.)

Any thoughts? Or is this just a "got what I paid for" situation? The TV was only $350 and the BD was $58.

I figured that was the case, and I'm fine with that. This first try was more of a learning experience, and I'll still be happy with it for quite some time, considering this is my first entry into HD (very late, I know, lol).
