I really need to get a house...I have no room left. Batman arrived this week so I had to create a makeshift display with cinder blocks and a black sheet for my DC guys.

I think you did a good job for a temporary fix.

Funny you should mention "needing more room"...the wife and I just met with our realtor and will be looking in a couple weeks.
Now here is what I've got to pack up for the move:

7 Bestas & 3 Detolfs holding around 70 statues/hot toys/etc
12 21-car 1:24 scale diecasts, overflowing with 272 cars
3 media cabinets holding over 1400 BD, most Limited Edition Collector's Editions, digibooks and steelbooks.

I am not looking forward to this endeavor!

Yea, I've thought about how terrible it's going to be having to move everything when the time comes...and I don't have near as much stuff as you! I eventually want to get some PAX systems for my DC statues so I can put the busts in there as well.

You will need time to pack those collectibles of yours. Hopefully, nothing gets misplaced or damaged.

I've steered away from the 1/4 scale line, but holy f**k check this Neca figure out.

http://comicsalliance.com/batman-ark...action-figure/
"The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles where there are no lakes. The Oilers moved to Tennessee were there is no oil. The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City where they don't allow music. The Oakland Raiders moved to L.A. and then back to Oakland; no one in Los Angeles seemed to notice. Continued expansion diluted the talent pool, forcing owners to recruit heavily from prisons, mental institutions, and Texas."

This statue combines all the traits of her character for example she look regal like a princess should, with the cape and the way she is holding it gives her that powerful warrior look of a goddess descending from the heavens.

Those Koto statues are turning out very nicely. That is shaping up to be a great sculpt of the Princess.

If I can figure out a good display option, I'm getting those busts. I've waited long enough.

Hey guys, just had a quick question and thought some of you might be able to help me out.

For those of you who have kotubukiya statues, how are they quality wise?
i currently have 2 statues from Mcfarlane which are made of resin, but want to buy the kotubukiya deathstroke figure but its made out of plastic. Does kotubukiya use cheap plastic, or is it high quality plastic? I would prefer to buy something that feels like a statue rather than just a large action figure, so any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not really sure I know what you mean by "cheap plastic"?
I have the entire New 52 ArtFX line, and they are pretty nice. Of course only being $30-$40 each, it is what it is. I also have the Superman & Batman Hero statues which are little heavier, as they are about triple the mass of the ArtFX statues. I can say that none of the Koto statues I have feel like statues, from a touch/weight perspective...again that is why they are lower in cost.
I'm Sideshow guy, first and foremost, but I really like what Koto is doing here.
I hope that helps you out.

The Koto Marvel statues have some weight to them, but they are more expensive and made out of different materials (I think?).

As for their DC stuff, the Superman statue is one of the best I've seen, you can't go wrong for the price/quality trade off you are getting from Kotobukiya right now.

There is no cheap plastic when you are referring to quality lines such as koto etc. They even have statues made from PVC. I think when you think of plastic your thinking of cheap flimsy crap on everyday products which is not the case in the toy line.

Here is a nice read about different materials they use for figures/statues etc.:

I have the Darth Vader 1/6 figure (RoTJ) coming in by Thursday.
Didn't notice originally, but the light sabre doesn't light up.
looking around I've noticed: diode, led, etc.
Anyone ever taken on putting one together? or just finding where to buy one assembled?

thanks in advance

Mine was suppose to be delivered today but I have a feeling it's not coming until tomorrow. As for the sabre Natedpg on Sideshow Freaks makes them. Not sure when he charges but his work is amazing.

Sorry, I meant Natedog.

Mine came today and OMFG is this thing badass! I'm definitely getting a cathode sabre for him.
