Default My Home Theater Build

SO I finally started my HT room, I have 17x12.6 to work with. I have started the framing as we speak, I am personally doing it so it may take longer than usual as I have time.

Looking at this Projector? Anyone ever tried it, I read good reviews on it on another site.
Optoma HD33, 1080p, 3D Projector

Ill Post some pictures once its framed out. Hopefully tonight

Congrats on the build! Looking forward to the build pics.
I don't have any personal experience with that projector but if you search in the projector section you might have more luck finding owner's opinions.

Hey Jeremy I've read alot of good reviews on that model for the price. A few things to be noted though will be do you have any problems with watching DLP TV. I have problems with watching DLP with RBE but this was based off older models might be alot better now. Also that model does not offer any Lens Shift (not sure if that will be needed since you are building now) but just wanted to make sure you didn't miss that.

Good luck on your build

I just built a home theater in my basement based around that projector. Be sure to check out the Projector Central calculator to make sure you wire accordingly, especially if you intend to ceiling mount. Limited zoom and lack of lense shift may present an issue, depending on your set up. The projector is NICE, though...you'll be satisfied. Good Luck.

lens shift is an issue, I have to mount it mid wall now since i tested it. My initial goal was to place it in a hole in top of rear wall since other room is unfinished, but the lens shift issue says I cant.

Wow, does that bring back memories!! Great start on your project. I've been through the whole sorted thing before. If I can help with questions let me know.
