I've noticed that too recently. I don't think it was like that in the past. I'm pretty sure it was #1 vs. #4 & #2 vs. #3 in the semis, that's of course if all top 4 seeds make it to the semis.

The US Open is the only major to have a 5th set tie breaker while the Austrailian, French, and Wimbledon require to win by 2 games in the 5th.

Damn Nadal is just invincible at the French and just beat Djokovic... this time!!!!

Wow, I can't believe I didn't see today's match between Rafa and Djoker live. It must have been quite an epic. I think it's almost a foregone conclusion that he's going to win his eighth title at Roland Garros on Sunday. As good as David Ferrer is, he just can't compete with Rafa in major tournaments. Then again, not a lot of players can.

I think Ferrer is sort of in the footsteps of Murray a few years back. Murray couldn't get pass the road block by beating the elite plus the luck of the draw. Murray had a break out season last year. Almost won Wimbledon but came back to beat Federer in the Olympics for the gold and has won his first slam with the US Open. I doubted Murray for so long but eventually if you keep trying, you'll succeed. I know Ferrer is in his early 30's but I think he can win at least 1 major, but it's not going to happen on Sunday against Nadal.

Yeah, that Murray comparison is a pretty good one, with one exception. Murray finally figured it out in his mid-20's, so he's got a relatively bright outlook for the next 4-5 years if he can continue to keep pace with Djokovic and Nadal and avoid injuries. The latter seems to be a pretty hard thing for him to do lately.

Ferrer on the other hand is one of the best players never to have won a grand slam title. I feel bad for him because he played most of his career when guys like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have dominated, and he just can't seem to beat any one of them. I hope he gets one before he retires, but not this one, since Rafa is my boy. I can't root against him.

I'm not glad to see all this extra-curricular happen at the French. But it's nice to know we Americans aren't the only annoying fans. At least we don't run on the court with smoke bombs or whatever.

Rafa's rolling. And he's been giving the ump the stinkeye just as he did last year when they played through hours of rain before ultimately postponing it.

Congrats to Rafa for winning his eights French Open title. This was never in doubt, as the real final was played in the semis against Djokovic. He is officially the greatest clay court player of all time. Bar none.

Yeah he's the 1st player to win 8 titles in the same major.

Let's just hope he doesn't pull a muscle or hurt his knee again and disappears in the summer. Tennis needs a big star like Nadal.
