I wanted to watch my replacement disc yesterday but had some playback issues.

It took my three tries to load the disc and when it loaded the animated menu wasn't there just a black background. I tried to watch the short films and introductions to them but a few wouldn't load and some just stopped playing, same goes for Eraserhead itself. My Blu-ray player made loud noises the whole time, like the laser was trying to find data but couldn't. Any other disc plays fine.

Has someone else experienced anything like this with the replacement disc?

Heads-up, just received my copy from B&N and it's NOT the corrected version. Annoying.

Mine arrived from B&N and it is the corrected second pressing. Weird.

Just received it from B&N, too, and mine *was* the corrected version. And in perfect condition.

About half of the stock at my B&N is the corrected version and the other half is not. You have to look for the sticker over the UPC. The employees aren't going to know the difference.

I guess I got lucky then.
