Yup, my Blob criterion arrived from Best Buy today. I recalled seeing this movie in the 80's on TV's Movie Macabre, hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Can't wait to watch it again.

The 4k restoration is a thing of beauty. I do love that Criterion (or whoever is responsible for the respective masters) gives the same attention, quality control and respect to marginalized 'B movie' genre titles that they lavish on acclaimed art-house classics.

I wish they would take on some of the goth horror classics from the fifties and sixties, like some of the Vincent Price catalog. I would love to also see the Dr. Phibes films get some love too.
