I think it was shot down on Facebook, not in the thread.

Majority of the list are the ones shot down in this thread AFTER January 1st of 2013. Everything before pretty much was ignored because of the potential for new deals beyond the original Universal deal.

Damn that's too bad as those docs. were great. I'm sure you guys will include some worthy extras though!

Does that mean the extras on the first movie won't be transferring over either, the commentary with Parapsychologist Dr. Hans Holzer and the "For God's Sake, Get Out! documentary"?

I see it didn't get very good reviews. Needs the Scream Factory touch

He essentially just said everything NOT on the 4th disc will.
Scream usually ports over anything they can get their hands on.

That being said, will Anchor Bay part with any type of special features for DAY?

Indeed. Here's hoping that somewhere down the line SF will be able to pick this one up. It deserves so much better than it's received thus far, on the home video front.

I think that Warner Bros. should, if they won't release stacked releases, pair their horror catalog into double features.

The Inaugural Branch:
Critters / Critters 2: The Main Course
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave / Taste the Blood of Dracula
Exorcist II: The Heretic / The Exorcist III
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed / Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday / Jason X

Wave 2:
Cat People / The Curse of the Cat People
Dracula A.D. 1972 / The Satanic Rites of Dracula
Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning / Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood / Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
It Lives Again / It's Alive III: Island of the Alive

I'd hope for standalone releases of Salem's Lot and The Changeling.

Has Cliff shot down Lady in White (MGM) or The Other (Fox) yet? I can't see them on the 'no' list. Both would make tremendous additions to the line.

Scream has little, if not no, chance at the rest of the Halloween films correct?

And could someone link the website that shows which companies have rights over films. I forgot to bookmark it the last time.

The Changeling needs a blu-ray release now! The best haunted house movie ever!

The 1998 cult adult animated horror thriller fave Perfect Blue could use a blu-ray/DVD combo from you SF since Manga's rights expired and is out of print. You guys with your digital magic can bring it back in stores as it could have extras like audio commentary from the producers with Japanese translation guys helping out to translate, both english dub/Japanese languages in subtitles, original featurette, retrospective with subtitles, trailers (US/Japanese/UK), Japanese TV spots, poster and still galleries and quality picture with surround sound on both English/Japanese tracks.
What makes this even better is that this was released in Japan a few years ago already (with a pretty good transfer, though it could have had better/richer colors and deeper blacks). So most of the work is already done.. all Shout! would have to do is acquire the rights to the HD print. Forget about a ton of extras.. if they could figure out a way to have all of the english songs on there? That alone would be awesome.

Same thing with CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO.

Both of the titles listed are coming to UK blu ray soon this year.

You are probably right but it would be nice to have confirmation before I get rid of my DVD of the first film. I guess I'll just have to wait until they announce the extras for their new collection. Can't wait either way!

I hope that we get another Universal announcement of Friday. It'd be pretty great if they could resurrect those. I loved it... but I'd try to stretch it out a bit longer. Most of the titles were announced 2-3 at a time. I would only pair the announcements together if they share something: Same director/franchise/actor.

I hope they drop a hint and let us guess for the upcoming titles,

They're gonna announce them anyway, might as well stir up some fun.

Not every Friday, necessarily, but every once in a while...

Can anyone tell me how most Empire Pictures titles ended up at MGM, while others, like Re-Animator, ended up in the hands of other companies?

For those of you in the Boston area, They Live is going to be played at the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, MA. It's a great time... I've been there four times before. I hope this makes five.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 1 at 9:30 PM.

I hope it's Tales from The Hood, Cat People (1982), The Car or The Boy Who cried Werewolf those are Universal titles that need the treatment.

House of Long Shadows needs Scream's magic badly since it's a movie that never had a DVD release before and needs a blu-ray/DVD combo with extras.
