Default Not me.

I'm not psyched. I have never seen it. I'm going to soon. It sounds like an awesome movie.

$9.99 at Best Buy was almost good enough for me. $5 and change with an RZ cert was just about right.

For those who have not see the movie, watch it right now. It's incredible.

It's worth a blind buy in my opinion, and I'm typically a harsh critic and one who doesn't like to recommend movies for blind buys.

In fact, I'm gonna nab it myself from BestBuy.com for $10.49 after tax/minus eBates and pick it up on Monday in-store.

Same with me, but this movie is amazing. I'd recommend it to anybody.

I bought this one over two years ago.
It's one of THE finest films I've ever seen.

I don't blind buy since I have been very disappointed with all my blu blind buys, but it is very tempting. I'll see if Blockbuster has it, and if they do not then I'll get it on netflix before I cancel it.

Glory is easily the best Civil War film ever made after Gettysburg.

I'll probably wind up loving it, but I still don't want to blind buy it. I've disliked/hated some movies that people go nuts over. I don't even know if I'll like a film for sure unless I see it.

Actually, ignore all that. Cary Elwes is in it. I may have to blind buy it.

Glory is one of the titles Sony is restoring from film in 4K. I really enjoy this movie, so this is exciting news to me, even though my memory of the existing Blu-Ray is that it looked fine.

Here is a link of the dvd review back in the day.

The PIP from the SE DVD is not on the BD. I'm finally watching that PIP content from the SE DVD now and I think I know why it was excluded: Even Sony in 2000 didn't present the film in anamorphic widescreen for the PIP. It's non-anamo (just to be clear, the presentation of the film itself separate from the PIP is indeed anamo).

So that means--heaven forbid--they would have had to go back to the original elements and re-create the PIP track with the anamo transfer plus the PIP window overlaid and placed a little higher than they did the first time around so it is not cut off and then re-telecined the whole thing. They took the cheap route, skipped doing this and gave us the "interactive" Civil War battlefield virtual map instead.

I'll rent the movie-only "4k" release from 3D-blurayrental.com. Omitting all the supps makes it a rental only for me.

Hard to believe that, per the SE's liner notes, principal photography on Glory began 25 years ago this Sunday, February 9.

I remembered this as being more exciting, I didn't remember
[Show spoiler]everyone dying.
I was much younger then. Now, for me, the specter of so many quality folk dying, even in a movie, engenders far more tears than excitement. Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Andre Braugher, Jihmi Kennedy and even, surprisingly, Matthew Broderick were outstanding, evocative. May we someday find an end to war and a more peaceful path to Glory.

Memphis : But far more fortunate are those lucky few who are truly loved.

You can only have too much ammo if you're on fire or swimming.

It still upsets me to this day that Broderick did not receive a nomination for Best Actor. He more than deserved it for his portrayal of Shaw.
