i think this looks dull myself. nolans visuals have never inspired me enough to want to see his movies in the theatre. makes me annoyed that people put him on a pedestal. what has he contributed to the theatre going experience?

Would it be safe to make the assumption that this film will use Dolby Atmos? I know Nolan said that the use of sound has been more important here than it has for any of his other films.
Best film of the decade so far: Cloud Atlas.

Worst film of the decade so far: Movie 43.

It will not use Dolby Atmos according to the list of films on Dolby's website.

He did say that, that's true. I don't know anything about this Dolby Atmos, but I know that if we all go to the IMAX to watch this, it will sound as big as it looks. I'm VERY excited.

Dolby Atmos has far better sound than IMAX. It supports up to 64 simultaneous objects, but most theaters install about 32 speakers and associated amplifier channels to support it. When mixing in Atmos, in addition to the standard 5.1 or 7.1 channels, the mixer can place sound objects in 3D space. In the theatre, the Dolby processor knows where the closest speaker to that location is and places the sound there. That means that instead of the current surround arrays, each speaker can be addressed individually.

In addition to overhead speakers, Dolby recommends a new surround left and right speakers closer to the screen and woofers for the surrounds. Theaters can also optionally install two extra screen channels as we used to have for 70mm presentations.

Many films these days are also mixed in Barco 11.1, which is a traditional channel-based format, but with 11 channels + the subwoofer instead of 5 or 7.

However, aside from being IMAX, no sound formats have been announced yet for Interstellar. But sometimes they hold back that info until release date. It would be hard for me to believe that a film of this nature is only going to be released in 5.1.
loose="not tight", lose="can't find it, doesn't have anymore" or the opposite of "win".
their="belongs to", there="place", they're="they are", there's = "there is"
it's="it is", for everything else use "its"
then="after", than="compared with"
"a lot" not "alot"

Just took a brief look at the IMDB page and it says Atmos is being used.

The AMC theater in Kansas City that I go to for Dolby Atmos films has at least 50 and possible even 60 speakers in the auditorium, incredible sound.

I'm going to guess that's a placeholder. That list on Dolby's site had been pretty accurate considering they list movies several months out from release.
