The Flint films (Our Man Flint and In Like Flint; '66-'67) were fun, campy efforts of the spy genre. Personally, I enjoy the Matt Helm movies ('66-'68) more. The Silencers and The Wrecking Crew are the best of them. If you can settle for DVD quality, which is enough for these films, because they're really not that great, you can get the 4-film Matt Helm set with the 2-film Flint set for right around $30 on Amazon. That's 6 movies for the price of Our Man Like Flint on blu. Think about it.
"No, don't give it a shot. Don't shoot anything."

Satisfied with the picture quality, so no need to get the BD, especially since it has mono 1.0 audio.

I will be curious to see if the film is using the dated dvd master as the source? As Good as it Gets and Journey to the Center of the earth were clear offenders in this category. These prices are way too expensive unless a new master has been used as the source.

For me the two Flint films are welcome releases. For a starters they are region free (I am a UK based purchaser). The are not available here and the bonus for me is that they include an isolated score (which I would normally buy separately). I have already taken delivery of Our Man Flint and have In Like Flint on pre-order. I've always enjoyed these films from being a boy and love to stick them on every so often. They are light, have a enjoyable soundtrack and James Coburn (love the guy's voice). So I'm quite a happy individual. |
