Just finish reading Vol 1 of the compendium, this is a must read for anyone who love comics, horror...whatever...its a must read..I had a few instances where I couldn't stop I needed to know what happen.
Also I have to give Kirkman credit, he is not afraid to kill off some of you favorite characters...I can't wait to see what he does in VOL2.

is having hardcover books worth ~3 times as much as having (massive) paperbacks? if nothing else, start whichever way you're leaning and go from there. like, if you're big into hardcovers, maybe just buy book 1 first and then if you're iffy on it, save some money and stick with the compendiums.

for the record, I'm going with omnibuses, because I'm a sucker for "collectibles". now, if only #1 would ship from amazon, so I could start reading...

This new issue was a little anti climatic, next one looks to be good though.

I know, right? I felt it was a total copout to how it ended last month. The line that Negan delivered
[Show spoiler]"I can't wait til you see what I did to your boy."

And then to see them just totally just kick the readers in the nuts and go with
[Show spoiler] him not doing anything and playing it off as a joke
, that was just lame.

Also that character of Negan is the most ridiculous and embarrassing character I've seen on the comics so far. It'd be much better if his cursing wasn't so far over the top that it pulls you out of the comic when he's basically just throwing curse words together to make some nonsensical sentence.

Combine pretty much everything since Negan came into the series, with Kirkland's forcing out Mazzara on TWD TV series, and Kirkland's quickly becoming someone that I'm tiring of.
