It doesn't look like Best Buy will be stocking these titles but Barnes & Noble prob has them at retail 19.99 price.
I Got my order from amazon today and watched House of Dark Shadows for the first time. (Currently on ep 516 of the TV soap series) The movie has a very distinct tone for sure. I prefer it to the Burton film, I don't want to bash it it has some good scenes but I think Burton's film wanted to keep having fun with the nearly 200 yr time difference. Also Burton lost the spark or the melodramatic for his film version. I blame the screenwriter and Burton for allowing it. Kind of sick of people saying they loved and adored the show so much yet they turn it into a farce. It should have been funny through truth not slapstick. I will agree House of D.S would have benefitted from more scenes with the so called extended cut maybe someday we will see that release. If you love the original series I say buy these two new BLU releases. We can hope for better editions in the future. :-)
Stop the Replacing of original Studio Opening / Closing logos! These are becoming endangered and should be kept intact. They are part of film history.

Is the audio out-of-sync on House Of Dark Shadows?
It seems to come and go, and a couple of reviewers have noticed this too. Is this a fault with the transfer, or is it a case of post-syncing? Anyone who has/had the VHS would be great at answering this! |

I don't consider the burton movie as a remake, its just burton doing his more comedic dark humoured version of the TV show. I actually enjoyed it and thought it was way more fun then most of the really stupid "serious" horror movies coming out today. I loved the 60's show, my mom introduced me to it and we bought the entire series on DVD and its just GREAT! the burton movie was fun but these 2 movies IMO while they are fun to watch, the TV show was waay better.
