Dont know if I posted this in the right section, but I recently moved into a 3 floor town home and have set up my router(belkin n+) on the 3rd floor. I seem to always lose connection on the 2nd floor and barely get any on the 1st floor. Was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on what I should do. Do I try to move the router? buy a new one? maybe get a range extender? thank you in advance.

what wifi device are you trying to connect? ...could be the device, not the router?
possible to connect on 2nd floor making it closer to 1st and 3rd equally? |

im trying to connect several devices such as psp ps3, iphone, laptop, and another desktop. i was going to move it to 2nd floor. but even right now i get dropped connections even if im one floor down from the router, so i think it wouldnt make a different. probably lose connections on 3rd

I live in a 3 floor town house (basement, main floor, upstairs). My main gateway is in the basement with its wifi enabled. On my main floor and upstairs I have WAPs set up as repeaters. Admittedly this is probably overkill, but I've never had problems.

Yeah I tried switching channels already. But yeah the router was working fine in my 1 story apt. Now that I moved in to a 3 story doesn't work on other floors. Do you live in a multi story home?

I have a Belkin and mines isn't the best router. I would lose connection all the time and would always get Nat type 3 when trying to play PS3 games online. I now have AT&T Uverse and the modem has a built in router that ridiculously easy to set up, and I never lose connection. Not sure if ur Belkin is the problem, but mines was.
