In regards to your sig, has Disney actually announced a 3D version of Frozen for North America?

Not yet officially. Then again, Disney hasn't announced any Summer or Fall BD releases except Sleeping Beauty (which has no date set yet).

Ah. So really there's no reason to think it will even happen.

A Frozen 3D BD North America release will happen, given that almost everywhere else has one. Besides the fact a release and release date has yet to be confirmed, we still don't know if we will get a combo pack loaded with new features or just a 3D disc added (like the 3D releases of Cars, Beauty and the Beast, Bolt, etc.). We got several other threads still talking about this.

Too bad the 3D release couldn't come out.....IN SUMMER!!!!!!

There's been a few supposed "leaks" hinting at a release this fall of a 3D RE- release with more bonus features and additional crap disney likes to tack on. Especially given that it's Disney's highest grossing animated film, it's not hard to believe that they'll do a new edition this fall.

However, they may wait seven more years. You never know.

You can check the Frozen thread for more info, but basically: While there has been no press release or big announcement just yet, we're going off of a couple good indicators.

First off, WDSHE has begun responding to inquiries about a 3D release by acknowledging a "Frozen 3D Special Edition" in the fall. No other details are given. Given that the term "special edition" no longer seems to mean anything significant to Disney, all this tells us is that Frozen 3D will be available sometime later this year.

In addition, a book distributor's online inventory lists at least two Frozen children's books coming out, one on October 7th, the other on October 14th. The listing is meant for retailers and provides a marketing description indicating that the books are part of a larger marketing blitz leading up to the release of the 3D Blu-ray/DVD release, specifically in October. Interestingly, the entries were added March 4th, and already indicate that the film has earned $400m domestically, which it actually still hasn't done, but suggests Disney was well aware that the milestone would be passed at the rate it was going.

As for additional bonus features, aside from WDSHE referring to it as a "special edition" thus leading us to hope there will be extra features, there has been no real indication of any new material.

Again, you can check the Frozen topic for details. Post #2907 talks about the marketing materials, and post #3735 talks about WDSHE confirming the fall release.

Well, even after all these months, mine was still the erroneous copy. Guess I have to send my discs in.

They're probably still overwhelmed with other requests. I shot them an email at the end of March regarding the Frozen Blu-ray and D-BOX compatibility, and while they haven't responded to my inquiry, I've gotten the following email twice since then:

They'll get back to you about the replacement as soon as possible, I'm sure. They're normally very quick -- I think they say to expect something like three business days for a response, but until now, I've usually gotten an answer within 24 hours.

I thought the same thing. Then I realized I really don't like the film. Gave the entire 3-D package to my cousin for her 3 year old. Everything worked out.

Cool, I won't clutter up their inbox with another email then, if email overload is the reason for the delay in response.

Regarding the Replacement,
the easiest and fastest way to get the replacement is to contact them by phone.
It took a month for the whole process from my experience:
Called October 2, 2013
Got Label October 7, 2013
Shipped October 7, 2013
Received November 4, 2013.

Check out my thread for the program.

I've used email before and it definitely takes LONGER.
