Basically how you do it is, to watch new releases in the theaters, and start a blog. Do a good job, build an audience. Eventually if you get enough hits, the studios will contact you, and ask you to screen movies and review them. There really isnt a shortcut, unless you know someone high up in the studio

They will require specific information regarding how to preview your work (internet links and the like). Then they will have someone review your work to see if it is suitable for their needs and if you would be able to offer them the desired type of publicity (doesn't necessarily need to be glowing acceptance critiques, but honest critiques). Then, you just might start getting content. However, be forewarned that you have to start at the bottom of the barrel. You'll start off by getting a boatload of garbage straight-to-DVD type titles AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REVIEW THEM ALL!!! Everything that gets sent to you HAS TO BE HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY! The first sign that you don't want to deal with 3rd tier content is the only sign they need to keep the actual blockbuster content from ending up in the mail with your address on the envelope/box. As glamourous as you may think getting review copies early may be, it's a lot of work because for every 1 good film you get that you actually want to keep in your collection, you'll get 10 to 15 absolute garbage releases that you'll want to throw in the garbage BUT CAN'T! If at any point the studio asks you for a particular piece of content back and you can't provide it to them, you are in serious trouble and can be fined. So, you need to have a lot of storage space.

So to get a free copy of The Hobbit you would have to watch 10-15 Asylum movies and write reviews for them? |

I wouldn't mind anyone writing a review for my film when I get the DVD release ready for March.
