I loved it when stations sometimes showed a widescreen movie in widescreen. Basically 70% of the screen was black. lol This is back when we had nothing but 4:3 tvs

I prefer the black lines. If I watch media from my computer I will display it letter boxed if it doesn't screw the pooch on being displayed (look) properly.

They sell this where I work. 21:9 Aspect ratio TV

Then you have black side bars. Until we get adjustable screens (Hmmmmm) we are stuck with bars without compromise of PQ.
