Even if it may not have had the budget of its sequels, it was in no way a low budget affair. It was still a big comic book super hero summer blockbuster.

It would be nice to get more than fancy packaging and one new retrospective documentary. I'm all over that trilogy set, since I didn't find the BB exclusive one for a good price.

Apparently Warner Bros. remastered it for a theatrical re-release in IMAX when The Dark Knight Rises came out, who knows, they might use that master for the upcoming ultimate collectors boxset this year? I hope the Dark Knight gets remastered too, the current transfer is processed to death with the exception of the IMAX scenes.
