Default Look Who's Talking (1989)

Any love for the now underappreciated comedy classic? It's still so clever and fun and I'm amazed it hasn't come out yet. Then again, it's a Sony film and they're one of the biggest offenders of scaling back on catalog titles.

--Add to it the film is a romantic comedy so it doesn't fit the generic "blockbuster action flick" moniker certain studios reserve the format for.

--It's depreciated in value in the mind of the collective public by two lesser sequels who have trouble distinguishing the three films as separate entities as more and more times passes and memories of the films fade into each other.

--The current "HD" master looks dreadful (I'm assuming it's a very dated master for HD broadcast that can't be from the last 12 years).

Outside of a remake happening I can't imagine Sony putting this out (perhaps on their pathetic BD-R label though) but were a new HD master available I'd love to see Twilight Time release it being they have a deal with Sony.

Any other lovers of this wonderful film out there? I can't seem to find much mention of it anywhere online as far as BD hopes are concerned. Is it really that forgotten? The movie was fairly successful with critics and in box office revenue / video sales back in the day.

I'd love for a double-pack of the first two movies...even on the "pathetic" BD-R label. Don't care. I'll still buy it.

As a little kid I pretty much enjoyed the first two movies equally, if a slight preference for the original. Bruce Willis really had a great comedic timing in those days. Both flicks seemed to play nonstop on tv back then and that's about the last time I saw them. I can only vaguely recall the third movie, though. I agree with the poster above that a BD50 double feature would probably be ideal.

Can't even count how many times I watched the first film as a kid. I still laugh when I think of some of the lines from the movie. I actually saw the 3rd film more than the 2nd. I guess cuz as a kid I liked the "talking animals" aspect of it. Did "Homeward Bound" come out that same year? lol

Great movie and I saw it on VHS in the 1990s and hope Mill Creek or any studio like Sony put this Blu-ray someday.
