Warner has it until the end of this year., where they will either renew or Paramount will have full control of their library again. Warner is starting to phase out some of the Paramount owned releases

Would love to see this on blu, it's a pretty fun film. I'm sure the book is very good, after all it's written by Stephen K.
As Warner released IT and Salem's Lot (which I never saw), maybe they could release this one too.

This is a totally underrated 80's classic. I've been in love with it since it came out. It's my 2nd favorite werewolf movie of all-time behind only "An American Werewolf In London". This movie has great acting (Gary Busey when he was semi-normal), builds fantastic tension, and a perfect ending. If you've never seen this, it's worth a blind buy for sure.

For those of you who are region free, it came out last week in Germany.

Although not perfect it's a nice upgrade

I watched SB for the first time last summer (on DVD). My brief review:

Decent (but low budget) '80's horror flick, based on the far superior Stephen King novella "Cycle of the Werewolf".

They kept the basis storyline as the novella, so that was good (though the story began in the winter, not the Spring/Summer like in the film). And, the werewolf effects looked somewhat cheesy, but not horrible.

Corey Haim's souped-up wheelchair/motorcycle was very cool to see.

Also liked the scenes of summer in small-town Americana.

Side-note: I'm a big "Twin Peaks" fan, and it was interesting to see the actor who played the Priest was also "Big Ed" on TP back in the day.

It's a Paramount film, as far as I'm aware, none of them have dealt with Paramount. For the most part, that's probably because Warner Bros. had a deal with issuing Paramount's catalog titles. Since the WB deal has ended, there is a better chance Paramount might sub-license some of their titles out to smaller companies but that hasn't happened yet.

If you can't wait, you can always pick up the Umbrella version from Australia. According to this website, it should work in US players so no need to be region free.
