Saw the film in theaters today. The transfer looks great! Hope we get a Blu-Ray soon, it's well overdue.

Would this be a film that Criterion would pick up?

I'm calling it. This Princess is officially MIA.
The dumbest character in cinematic history is not Jar Jar Binks. It's David Larrabee. I mean...who the hell overlooks Audrey Hepburn!?

I'm really shocked this film hasn't been given a date for blu-ray yet? What is going on?

Because of arrogant and no self respect company, that only interested in milking money with new crap movies.

Well, when you're working don't you like to make money too?
I think we should start addressing our complaints to people with no taste or aesthetics who buy the crap movies and aren't interested in great classic ones.
These are responsible that we don't get these classic films on Bluray.

This is especially bizarre since they have gone to the trouble of restoring it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this may have landed with Criterion, ditto on A Place In the Sun.
Would explain why its taking it so long for them to get out.

A Criterion release of Roman Holiday is something I dream about everyday. Didn't Twilight Time release Two for the Road a while back too? Maybe Criterion is going to release that as well. *Starts counting eggs before they hatch.

A Criterion release of this film would be amazing!

I like to think they are preparing some fresh special features for it, thus it is taking as long as it is.

Any updates as to whether Roman Holiday has landed with Criterion and if it will be a 2017 release? This is easily one of my most anticipated films I hope gets the Criterion treatment!

Everyone seems convinced Criterion is picking this one up.

The title has just been released... in Spain!

https://www.amazon.es/Vacaciones-Rom...dp/B01N3ASNE4/
(Released on 7 Feb 2017, but no info on the editor.)

It is zone free and offers 3 languages: English, Spanish and French (audio and subtitles)

But the most recent comment on the Amazon page indicates that the transfer quality is at DVD level, which is not reassuring.
And there is no information on the editor, which arises more suspicions.

This could be a DVD transfer, that was simply ported on BD...

Probably another bootleg, Spain is full of them.

*More wishful thinking.

Criterion got a hold of it...then decided 2K wasn't good enough, and started their own 4K restoration. Thus the extended wait. :P
