Default Mighty Ducks Trilogy

Guilty pleasure for sure but I'd love to see the Mighty Ducks trilogy on Blu-Ray. Surely I'm not alone in this! More 1 and 2 really but 3 isn't atrocious so I'd like the trilogy. Gordon Bombay needs HD.

The 3rd one is all right, it was enjoyable though it wasn't great only because Emilio Estevez didn't play a major role in it as he did in the previous two movies.

I always wonderde that might self so I did some investigating and found this on IMDB.com on Emilio Estevez bio page:

Quote:
He tried his hand at directing again with Men at Work (1990) before taking on one of his most famous roles as Coach Gordon Bombay in The Mighty Ducks (1992). The enormously popular Disney film spawned sequels and an NHL hockey team of the same name, but Estevez was interested in making weighter films.

He agreed to make a brief appearance in D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996) in exchange for Disney helping him finance and distribute another effort as actor-director, The War at Home (1996).
I still think that had he played a much larger role in the film than perhaps the movie would have been better but that is just my opinion

Yes, absolutely. These movies have gotten shoddy treatment thus far. The first movie, especially, looks like a recycled laserdisc transfer for the dvd.

Yeah, I heard that the DVD PQ on The Might Ducks Trilogy was not very good, though I never bought them.

Here is a small summery of the plot from IMDB.com

In the third episode of this series, the Ducks get scholarships to Eden Hall Academy, a high ranking prep school. But as freshmen, they will have to face the snob varsity team...

This trilogy plays out like every other trilogy. The first one is classic and great. The second one has its own awesomeness and I usually enjoy it more than the first one (KNUCKLE PUCK!) but it steals a lot from the first film. The third one can be forgotten (but this is the case for most trilogies). I wouldn't mind a Mighty Ducks 1 & 2 combo pack either. I just would hate only getting the first one and have to wait 5 years or more for the 2nd as its such a great movie on its own.

All I remember from the 3rd one is when they froze the guy's jersey and then it broke all over the floor.
My top 5 want on US Blu-ray list:
1. Mother (1996)
2. This Boy's Life
3. Juice
4. Above the Rim
5. Jacknife

HELL YEAH!!
“With a good script, a good director can produce a masterpiece. With the same script, a mediocre director can produce a passable film. But with a bad script even a good director can't possibly make a good film. For truly cinematic expression, the camera and the microphone must be able to cross both fire and water. The script must be something that has the power to do this." - Akira Kurosawa

I'm seriously waiting on this as well. These movies, like so many from Disney north America, have been treated poorly. I don't mean to bag on Disney, but it seems that we, in north America always end up in the back seat.

The Mighty Ducks. Poor transfers on DVD and non anamorphic

Where's Aladdin..? It's available overseas

Where's 101 Dalmatians? It's available overseas

Can't buy me Love? Full screen DVD only!

The Three Musketeers? Full screen DVD only!

Mission to Mars (Only available in France w/ forced subtitles)

Splash? Only available in Australia

The Journey of Natty Gann. Full screen only in north America on DVD, Region 2 is widescreen

Wild hearts Can't be Broken. Full screen only in North America on DVD, Region 2 is widescreen

Swiss Family Robinson?????

With that said, I do appreciate that Disney North America has released some good titles recently....But, if they aren't going to release some of the titles above to Bluray, then at least give us a update DVD
PANASONIC VIERA TC-P50VT25 50"
OPPO BDP-93 ((Region Free))
PIONEER ELITE-VSX-33

I agree 100% I would like to see BD release of the few titles listed above. Some other ones I would like to see released on blu-ray is Mary Poppins, Old Yeller and The Parent Trap (Original).

Put me down for Part 1 but the other two were pointless. I just could not get into them going to the Olympics.

We need more hockey movies on blu....I'll buy all 3 if that's how they come (Triple Feature) but really only care for the first.
