It took me a little while to get used to the poor animation of the characters, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story was pretty good, too. The premise is similar to Avatar, but it is still interesting.

Story: 3/5
3D: 3.5/5 Probably closer to 4/5
Enjoyment Factor: 4.5/5

Once again, the environments look great. There is a lot of detail in them, but the characters look like something from the mid-90s. They lack detail.
That was my initial reaction to the level of detail in the characters, sort of low budget like sammy. But the director said he wanted to do the characters with a minimalist approach and have the story really be the focal point of the movie. Once you get passed that though, you really begin to appreciate the story and the beautiful backdrops. I truly enjoyed this one, the 3d was solid and the story was heartfelt. Really a sleeper hit in my opinion.

I did catch this when it was in theaters. I remember one particular scene where a part of a aircraft came out of the screen and I remember telling my wife about how much detail was in the part of the craft.

I just saw this again with my wife (her first time). She loved it, by the end of the movie she was in tears, she's contagious cause I was too. Wtf!
She thought the 3d was immersive and drew her into the story, another winner.

Word of warning. I just forked out 20 for the Battle For Terra 3D blu-ray from France and found it's not full 3D but anaglyph. Very annoyed

Fantastic 3D on this one. I was really surprised. The movie is,'t the best but the 3D made it well worth importing.
