I have only watched about 4-5 3ds on my system since I bought it a few weeks ago, I have watched disneys tangled and brave 3d with my 4 year old and they were alright but we watched journey 2 mysterious island after picking it up on eBay for £7.50 and I thought this was great in 3d and 1 or 2 great pop out moments IMO anyway.

Agree! Seeing Prometheus in Real D at the movies was underwhelming. Seeing it at home on my Sony TV was great. The 3D wasn't gimmicky pop out but beautiful and immersive.

Default So far...

From what I've seen:

Either Resident Evil
Avatar
Titanic
Promethius
The Avengers

Didn't bother with Captain America as it looked bad in the theater
Saw Priest and was pretty bad
Have not seen Thor, Transformers, Hugo
Did not get I, Robot because I prefer the original aspect ratio
Have Spiderman but I have have not watched it yet.

Thumbs up here's another..

I think Sanctum could be on that list. It is visually stunning at times and not a bad movie at all.

Default What live action movie has the STRONGEST 3D?

So what do we all think? Is it Avatar? Titanic? Avengers? I can't really think of a live action title with 3D as strong as A Turtles Tale or Madagascar 3, I wonder what is the closest though.

RE: Afterlife, Hansel and Gretel, and Drive Angry have very strong 3D. They should be part of anyone's 3D collection.

  • Most of the IMAX documentaries
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • Sanctum
  • Creature From the Black Lagoon

(By strongest 3D, I assume you are referring to depth strength/parallax.)

Resident Evil films are amazing (3D wise)... better than most on BD. Drive Angry was another good one. My current favorite is Dredd... the 3D adds sooo much to the film and makes a great film even better. A must-own 3D BD imo.

A lot are just average and really don't add too much to the experience.
