Disney has done a fantastic job giving a great gift to 3D enthusiasts by recapturing this classic movie in pristine 3D form!

The movie will be enjoyed by me and many guests in my family for years to come.

What is also so fantastic about this 3D edition is that Disney bothered to include the three extra feature shorts in native 3D and they look spectacular!

•Toy Story Toons: Partysaurus Rex
•For the Birds - Short
•Outtakes and Company play (Totally in 3D!)

WAY TO GO Disney!

Thank you and please keep movies like this coming.

The digital clarity of the Blu-ray 3D is spectacular when every feature is also viewed in discrete-3D on a personal HDTV headset.

Agreed. In fact I think it is by far the best Pixar 3D release so far

Not that I'm a pop-out fan but the best 3D movies (e.g. A Turtle's Tale) tend to have both negative and positive parallax in abundance.

It's not Sammy popout mania, by the are moments where things like faces etc break the plain.

Just watched the movie tonight, had no audio issues at all. I have the same bd player. The 3D and audio is excellent.

Watched this late last night. Great depth and detail. Scenes toward the end in the door conveyor belt were great. Again....the detail and clarity were awesome in this. Loved it.

Do you use both HDMI outs? And if so, like ss10zidane asked, are you sending the audio to the receiver via bitstreaming the TrueHD track or as LPCM? If you answered "no" to the first question or "LPCM" to the second then you're not recreating the circumstances to get the audio dropouts.

Not that it matters all that much, I don't really need to see the TrueHD light on my receiver to enjoy the 7.1 track.

I am experiencing this issue on an Oppo 103. I am bitstreaming the audio on one HDMI output, and sending the video through another.

I was using the 5.1 soundtrack.

The drop outs last under a second, they almost sound like quick 'ticks'. I did a rewind on one of them, and it didn't happen.

Yes I am using both HDMI outputs as my receiver does not support 3D. It's bitstreaming the track as TrueHD, did not change the audio settings. I was really worried about the dropouts after reading about it so I was listening for them throughout the movie, glad mine didn't have any problems. Sorry to those who have experienced it.

Well, I guess whatever is causing the problem is not simply a product of dual-HDMI setups having a problem with the new implementation of TrueHD.

Funny enough, since I have an Onkyo 805, and for some bizarre reason, it defaults to midnight mode being turned on for TrueHD, it has worked out that I switched to LPCM anyway as it saves me the 2 button presses to turn that off. So to hell with it, they can leave it broken for all I care.

Having the same intermittent audio dropouts on the 3D disc bitstreaming the 7.1 TrueHD track from my Sony BDP-BX59 to my Onkyo TX-NR515 via HDMI. Goes away if switched to PCM.

Watched this again on my Sony. First 3D blu I watched two nights in a row...ever....just for the 3D and not the love of the movie. I just think the clarity and 3D are exceptional. Just beautiful to watch.

Guess it's time for me to invest in a new 3D receiver.

Just viewed the UK disc and have to say I was very surprised with just how good they managed to do with the conversion. It looked fantastic. The shorts also looked great.

Agreed. The PQ of For the Birds is just stunningly beautiful!

It looks much nicer than even their later ones like La Luna look!

Is your Onkyo 3D ready ? Or are you using dual hdmi outputs also ?

It's 3D ready; the problem is with TrueHD, not with the dual HDMI outputs.
