I was just told the version on Vudu has includes less than what the previous studio had on their release? Is that true??

FYI, there was also the very first original Limited Version that was only available on Crystallakememories' website that came with a Bonus 5th DVD with hours of footage (much of it quite good) that didn't make it into the proper documentary. Everything on that bonus disc hasn't been recycled on any of the later editions as far as I know.

No it is exactly the same as the regular blu ray. Both segments together run almost 7 hours. Vudu does not have the 5th bonus disc content. But the film itself is the same

Strange. A mod here told me the newer release has less than the original...

I bought this today at Best Buy for $17, then went home and saw that it was $14.33 on Amazon.

I'm not sure if it's even worth it to go back out there tomorrow.

I bought two titles with a $5 reward zone coupon and they spread the discount over both titles on the receipt.

...I wonder if they'll give me a hard time about that if I try to get them to do a retroactive price match?

How does this compare to His Name Was Jason?

...way better?

Basically the same interview format with the actors and directors, but longer?

Way better. It uses some of the same content as HNWJ, but with hours and hours more.

I've done a retro price match or 4, and while sometimes the computer gives the clerks a hard time, they have never given me a hard time. I'd say if you're in the area of the store, stop by and get your 3 bucks.
Just picked it up today myself (and price matched of course).

One thing I can't believe is only the dvd only version of this is in dvdprofiler?!? Com'on horror profilers, what's the deal with no BD versions being up there? My scanner sucks and the scans here are too big to capture in one shot, so someone needs to do these. Thought for sure I'd get a profile for the 4 or 5 disc version to work off, but nothing. The dvd profile is bare bones too.

Is there anything on HNWJ that is NOT on Crystal Lake Memories? I just bought the set with the bonus DVD on eBay for $30. Figured that was pretty decent with that extra DVD.

I was a bit disappointed with this compared to Never Sleep Again. I thought the Elm Street doc was better for some reason (admittedly I'm more of a Freddy fan than Jason but I do enjoy the F13th series). I think it's because they re-used His Name Was Jason interviews.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a porn parody called Crystal Lake Mammories.

So old threat, apologies, but wanted to ask a question. I got this documentary today, but is there a difference between the bluray/dvd set verus just the 2 disc blu ray set? I heard one came with a bonus disc?

Too many mother issues involved.
”Always leave boiled rice out for mice and keep lamps dark out of pity for moths.” The ancients had this sort of concern, and it’s really the whole point of life, generation after generation. Without it, one can only be called a blockheaded carcass. - H.Z.

The 2-Disc version of HNWJ has exclusive features. The big one being a short piece on the infamous NES game with the AVGN review.

More in depth.
