Thanks. I think it took me a little over a month to get it to this point. The desk area was going to be a built in thing, but then I saw what I have now so I changed it. More spacious overall. I need to get some electric outlet covers, and touch up paint in the corner. Some point the plans are to get speakers for the tv setup, computer speakers, and possibly a bigger tv. There is an electric outlet, (2) cat6 Ethernet ports, and one optical toslink port behind the iMac I installed. Gives it a very clean look overall. Suppose it is time to get the living room home theater going again now.

Great construction work of course, so we donít have to talk about that. It is interesting, and I am wondering why you ran a optical link? What is on the other side of that link or connected to?

What level of speakers do you plan to use in this bedroom, since it isnít your main system? What happened to the Boston computer speakers? I think those were what you had, because I kinda remember us having the same ones.

I've an optical adaptor for my imac. The cable then runs to my sony receiver (an old one of mine that is holding me over till I get a better avr & 2 channel setup going) in the living room. I have over 10,000 songs loaded on my iMac/iTunes. I just turn my receiver on and I can play any of those songs with my Dynaudio Sapphires by my iphone or ipad. The optical cable will eventually run to a dac for my future 2 channel setup in the living room. I'll have a splitter off my imac that will feed my computer speakers and living room speakers for music since my imac is my music server.

The boston speakers went to my cousin (they had a short in the wire so you had to move the speaker wire around just right to get the one to work). He gave me my old Sony receiver in exchange. What speakers I'll use for my computer/music in my bedroom I haven't figured out yet. I'm looking at a soundbar/sub combo for my tv.

Well that answered all my questions.. lol

I sometimes think about setting up my computer to my AVR. I do think it's pretty much connected thru the LAN, but I haven't messed with the settings.

I haven't gotten all of my cables to finish setting my stuff back up, but I do have a few things I could work on for now, and I just might mess with windows media player to see how it works with the AVR.

Lately I have just put things on my USB and plugged it into the AVR.

Which the way I'm doing it will accommodate what I want to do in the future for my 2 channel setup. That is isn't a priority so it will be off the avr for some time. A newer avr and projector are high on my list right now. That will get my Dynaudio surround sound/theater going.

I've contemplated the Dynaudio Focus 110a speakers and a tube preamp (unless the 110a's don't require it but I do know they are self-powered) for my bedroom computer speakers. I really don't know what I want to do yet, and whether I want to spend a decent amount to get that type of setup. I might just do some regular computer speakers. I really don't see myself doing critical music listening when my Sapphires are in the other room not far away.

Hey Sean,
Good to see you completed your room, looks really good.

Well technically the soundbar is part of the construction as it will be mounted to the recessed wall I did .

It sounds good for what it is. I'm impressed. I think adding a sub to it might be something I'll do as that is an option.

So it's worth adding to a bedroom?

Yes. The option to add a true subwoofer is a nice touch. The overall sound is very much improved compared to my tv speakers. I'd recommend this sound bar.
