I really dug Curse of Chucky, but I felt like it fell apart at the end. It just had way too many false endings, especially if they were wanting to do a seventh one.

Anyway:
Child's Play 2
Child's Play
Bride of Chucky
Curse of Chucky
Child's Play 3
Seed of Chucky

I like all of them except for Seed, though.

yeah, i don't think i've ever seen "Seed" all the way thru & i sure haven't tried watching it again since picking up this set... i enjoy most of the movies, but "Bride" is about as campy as i'm able to handle w/o just getting annoyed

Heads up for anyone in the Tampa area, they're showing old horror movies at the Tampa Theatre I believe, and on the 29th there showing Child's Play with a Q&A with the actor who played Andy after the show.

just finished pt. 3... having seen it in the theater, i think it will always be a favorite of mine for nostalgic reasons, but i still think it holds up a lot better than people give it credit for. obviously it's the last time Chucky will even try to be scary for the next couple movies, anyway...

it was also nice seeing a young Mrs. Ari Gold, although i do have to say i think she's looking MUCH MUCH nicer as she gets older...

The commentary for the first film sounds like it was spliced together from two different tracks, one with Andy and the other with the mom and Chucky puppeteer. It just doesn't flow very well.

Just opened up my Chucky Collection, and the plastic hub that holds CP3 has a big crack going down the center. It didn't looked damaged. Its a good thing I opened it up so I could get Amazon to send me a new one. Sometimes I let blu-rays sit on the shelf unopened for months.

I tried to watch Curse of Chucky last night and I got so bored I had to turn it off and go to bed... after watching The Office on Netflix for a bit. I've seen it a couple times already though, so perhaps it just doesn't have very high replay value. The other films in the series, however, are another story.

Personally, after re-watching all the films I can't believe how good the first movie works as just a good movie that happens to have a killer doll in it. It's well shot, has characters that you care about, and is just a well-paced little thriller. The second film, while it was my favorite as a kid, just doesn't hold up as well. The characters are awful and it's not very well directed compared to the first movie. I actually really dug the third movie even though it seems to get crapped on the most. I liked the story-line and it also has the best Chucky quips of the entire series. I literally laughed out loud a couple of times. Bride it just Ronny Yu doing his Freddy vs. Jason thing but even better. The deaths are great and the whole back-and-forth between Chucky and Tiffany is fun as hell. The less said about Seed the better. Curse has a pretty good first half but goes downhill quick. It also looks the cheapest of all the movies. It does have one really great kill though. Overall:

1. Child's Play- A+
2. Child's Play 2- C
3. Child's Play 3- B
4. Bride of Chucky- B-
5. Seed of Chucky- D-
6. Curse of Chucky- C-

Definitely a fun series overall but I find the first vastly superior to the rest.

Happy Halloween Chucky Heads!

Hawkeye: I'm outraged! It's a disgrace. I've never seen a cleaner movie in my life.
BJ: There was more filth and dirt in this morning's breakfast.
Father Mulcahy: Well, one of the actors did say "virgin."
Hawkeye: That's because everyone was

Child's Play - A (Good movie for real; The only one!)
Child's Play 2 - C (Overhyped)
Child's Play 3 - C- (Nice opening in Chicago; I would have liked a modern movie like the opening. Not something at Military school).

Bride of Chucky - D (B in 1998, but man did it age horribly like the majority of 90s horror for me)

Seed of Chucky - F- (Not one good thing)

Curse of Chucky - D- (Overhyped and an all around bad film. I agree that the 2nd half tanks what was ok about the 1st half)
