I am thinking I should do a listen for comparable speakers. Does anyone have a list of comparable speakers to the Paradigm Prestige 85F that I should consider?

I am basically looking to spend about $6500 max for my front speakers(front 3).
I don't have a list, but have you checked out PSB? I see you have them, have you considered a step up?
Those T3's look fn awesome. But maybe the T2's are within your budget?

Myself, I want those 85F's and a 55C badly. I'm aiming for springtime to have those beauties.

Yes. I do enjoy PSB. I did take a listen to the T2's and I actually wasn't the biggest fan when comparing them to the B&W.

My current PSB are OK overall however I am looking to get the kind of speakers that I will not have to upgrade for 10-15 years at this point. Tough decision and the biggest problem is the audio stores that I used to go to are all out of business now. I guess I didn't buy enough speakers.

Is it true that parqdigm is phasing out the monitor series and resurrecting the SE serries after the CES.

Been scouring the preowned market for the SE tower to complete my setup without luck.

I would say that the B&W speaker was the new 702 S2. I was just looking the update my old speaker set-up. I listened to Kef R700, the 702 S2 and the 85F's. I'm going with the 702's with HTM71 center and 2 sets of 707 S2 for sides and back. Just waiting for them the come in.

85f's are a great speaker. I went with the 95f's personally and I don't regret it. Also finally picked up a Sub1 today. Man that thing kicks ass

85's and 55C were on my radar but are on the back burner for a bit.

Did you sell your 100's? If so, that must've been tough.
Are you gonna keep the 690?

How do you have the 15B and Studio 20's set up?

I checked out your Youtube video. You've got good taste in music. Was the 1st song Mudvayne or Hellyeah?
Insane collectibles you've got!!

Happy New Year gates70!

Hey! Been away since my last post. Sorry.

I had 60's before and I kept them for a 2-channel setup in my living room. Needed speakers to go with my new NAD 388.

The 690 is still in my system and plays seamlessly with the rest. At first I wanted to change it to the 55 to match but even my dealer asked me why I'd want to do that. So I kept it.

The 15B's are on side duty while my 20's are in the rear. They're a good match tonally.

Yeah that's Mudvayne but that video is over 5 or 6 years old now. My collection and equipment has changed considerably since then. I'll also need new pics in my gallery since the room doesn't look like that anymore. Procrastination at it's best lol

Happy New Year to you as well buddy!

I'm glad you kept the 690. That's a special speaker and would be difficult to replace. I had a brief thought of buying it from you if you were getting the 55C, but thought you'd be like... hahaha!

I may put audio on hold for a bit and work on the video now. I need 4K, especially since Atmos is mostly on 4K discs now, grrrr.
I'll get a display, then focus on an Amp, then Prestige.

Have a gooder Bro!

LOL at that meme! As far as putting audio on hold, you can only upgrade so much before you get diminishing returns. I'm pretty much at that point now me thinks. I just swapped my 2 Sub 12's for a Signature Sub 1 and I think that's it for a while. I had an issue with one of the Sub 12's in which I need to repair it. The other one is fine...but my dealer had a deal I couldn't refuse on the Sub 1 which was more than half price off.

As for the video side of things, I'm waiting it out a bit because of so many changes coming. HDR10+ vs DV vs HLG etc....I'm on projector guy so I want the best possible projector and that probably won't be until next year at the earliest.

They're fricken beautiful and I want 'em!

Paradigm has a great "clearance" sale going on for their Monitor line. 25% off is a great discount.
I bought a pair of Atoms to replace my 14 year old Atoms.
They'll match well as surrounds with my Prestige fronts and center.
I just got the Prestiges in the past few months, as a retirement gift to myself, and absolutely love them. I thought I'd be a bit sorry I replaced my Monitor 11's with the Prestige 15B bookshelf speakers but not at all. The detail and imagery is fantastic. Much more detail than the 11's and my sub easily handles all signal 80Hz and lower but the 15's actually hit bass notes quite hard and are surprising for their size.

I'm thrilled with them and look forward to a lot of awesome listening years to come.
TV: Samsung 60KS8000, AVR/Marantz SR5011, DVD Player/Sony UDP-X800, Speakers: Front/Paradigm Prestige 15B, Center/Paradigm Prestige 45C, Surround Paradigm Monitor Atom, Sub/Paradigm PDR-100B

Default Paradigm cc350 wiring

Hi all, I am brand new here, but have owned some paradigm components for many years. Namely a CC350 centre, and a servo 15 sub. I have ran these speakers with various other speakers over the years, as I could never match the set due to Paradigm not being readily available here in the UK. I have however recently managed to pick up an old pair of Monitor 5's in great condition which I am loving!
Anyhow, I digress! A couple of years back I blew the tweeter in my CC350, but did manage to source a brand new one which I was sure I fitted correctly. However, the speaker has never sounded as good as it used to, and the tweeter is certainly not as crisp as the one's in these old 5's I've just picked up. I am really struggling to pick out dialogue in most movies these days. So I am wondering if I have actually managed to wire it up wrong. Can anyone show a clear picture of a factory wired CC350 please so I can check.

Thanks,
Walts.

I can't but there's some helpful folks at AVS Forum.
Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the reply all the same!

I have been chatting with my brother this morning who assures me I can't damage the tweeter by reversing the wires, so will try that today just to check I haven't accidentally wired the tweeter out of phase.

I listened to 75F today and they were glorious.

I couldn't pass up on getting prestige for my home theater. I will get them in a few weeks.

Congrats! I think the Prestige line is awesome. Love mine. Just sold my Studio CC690 and Studio 20's to a friend at work and replaced them with a Prestige 55c and 2 more 15b's. Awesome sound. I know the question will come as to if the 55c sounds better or worse than the 690...I would say that they sound very similar but the 55c sounds more detailed and clearer than the 690. Also matches better with the imaging with my 95f's. Very happy with the swap.
