What, exactly, does make a God...a God?

Well if you wanna argue a super strong alien with a 5,000 year lifespan is a "god" to us then yeah sure. I can buy that. Q in Star Trek is a similar thing, he's truly omnipotent but he's still an alien, so no one calls him a god. If there actually is a god in the real world couldn't he actually be a life form we just don't understand? All interesting sci-fi concepts and discussions.

I'm just saying they have gone to great lengths to establish there is nothing mystical or divine about them in the movies.

I really don't. I will always think it's one of the worst directions the Marvel Universe could've gone. I still enjoy all the films, just laugh a little at yet another weak attempt at modernization.

There is a clear scene where they are in Norway or whatever protecting their worshipers. You can call them alien beings, supernatural entities, or whatever, but the comics have established that Odin and Zeus are "Gods" within their canon.
These movies arent relegating them to straight up visiting Kryptonians.

Inspired "god-myths" doesnt remove the fact that they walked amongst their worshippers like Jesus did. The film footage is there.

Red Skull was looking for the Tesseract in a divine setting, and knew to look in a church. Odinism was part of the Nazi game back then and established in the comics. Hitler called on Thor w/ the Spear of Destiny to battle against Captain America and the Invaders back in WW2.

OR, maybe they should be called InterDimensional Beings? Has that been used yet?

Yes, they had people who worshiped them as gods. If that makes them gods to you then have at it man, enjoy. That gets into a whole "what is a god to you" question. However the movies also make it very clear they are powerful aliens worshiped as gods by lesser beings at various times. Odin says "we are not gods," I'm not sure how else it could be spelled out.

Going on and on about the comics really means little, we're only talking about the movies here.

Black widow hey Cap id stay out of this they are basically gods.

They are gods to the people in the movie. My opinon has nothing to do w the writing.

Even if Odin makes his claim, the perception is not aliens. Norse UFOs?

No probs with the US 3D disc on my 310 with 1.92 firmware, it played past 6:49 without a hitch.
