If anyone could provide links to the best, that would be great.

I'm also looking for the best set of Life. And would the Planet Earth/Life combo be sufficient.

I've seen numerous of these Planet Earth sets and some are 550 minutes, 563, 543, 600. What are the differences? Some are on four discs, five or six????
I got the planet earth/life box set a few months back and I love it! It includes the special edition of planet earth. Be aware the discovery version has different narrators than the original bbc version's David Attonbourgh. Both are available in the US

Thank you! I went to Best Buy today looking for this set. The only one I could find is the Oprah Winfrey-narrated version. No luck on Planet Earth. So I'm in a quandary and it's doubtful I will be able to get this via U&S.

There will probably be sales on BBC Natural History Unit titles next week (Monday is Earth Day). Currently Amazon has Frozen Planet for $19.99, I'd look for some sort of a Gold Box offer early next week. Costco (always YMMV) currently has several titles for under 18 dollars.
US/UK films that need to be on blu-ray:Foreign Correspondent (1940, Hitchcock), The Wicker Man (1973, Hardy), Thunderheart (1992, Apted) , Lone Star (1996, Sayles)

Foreign films that need to be on blu-ray:
Raise The Red Lantern (1991, Zhang), The Best of Youth (2003, Giordana), Still Life (2006, Jia), 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007, Mungiu)

I scored an Attenborough narrated version of Life on ebay the other night for $35. My local best buy only carried the Oprah narrated one.

You can get the Attenborough Life set for between $30-$40 on ebay from what I could tell. It’s $47 on amazon right now……@ least it was when I looked yesterday.
