Can they even do that? It's not like they actually own any of the movies that they release (waits for someone to correct me). IIRC the CC transfer for Fear and Loathing also ended up on Universal's later Euro releases of the movie.

In any case, good call on the encode, although the CC edition comes with both a Theatrical 5.1 and a near-field 5.1 whereas I doubt the Universal will include both. I know that's no obstacle for a man with your talents and a BD-R drive, mind you.

They have licenced extras before if the master was their own work I wonder if they owned any part of that chain.
Hopefully it drops the near field mix, but yes I can make it so that is not an issue.
Mind you my bd-r is being funny of late.
My BD XL experiments may have pushed it over the edge

Is this it?

The Scott Bros. do no wrong.

Sure, extras that are created by an indie distributor are entirely their own work but when it comes to the actual movies I think it's a different story, in that you can perform whatever heroics you like during the transfer but the end result is still the property of the rights holder. Could be wrong. (Be interesting to see what master Universal use if they ever get around to issuing The Burbs in the US.)

US version also available here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...&condition=new

Yes, but clips are issued under licence, when it comes to the whole movie I don't think the studios are so generous in letting whichever distributor 'keep' that particular iteration of it.

My pc decided to reboot to upgrade windows 10 while I turned my head.

100% the new master, the changes in running time due to logos is giving me caps headaches, but I will have some up later

Something seems amiss here. If the scan says:

Code:
Total Bitrate: 38.97 Mbps
Then I don't know how the posted video and audio bitrates can combine to make a value like that.

I understand that, but it looks like it's way off. I have never seen a Blu-ray with a video bitrate over 40000 kbps, and I don't think that's possible under the current specifications. Plus, if I add up the values that your scan shows for audio and video, you would get

46027 + 6031 + 768 or 52826 (+ subtitles)

which would mean a total bitrate of about 52.83 Mbps, not 38.97, as the scan shows.

Perhaps you need to scan it again because of the Windows 10 update? Are you certain the scan completed properly?
