Have you heard the new cover (completely different lyrics) of Institutionalized by Body Count? It's got to be the best thing Ice-T has done in his entire career. It's hilarious. I almost like it better than the original, and I'm a huge Suicidal Tendencies fan. I'd post a YouTube link but it's way too obscene.
”Always leave boiled rice out for mice and keep lamps dark out of pity for moths.” The ancients had this sort of concern, and it’s really the whole point of life, generation after generation. Without it, one can only be called a blockheaded carcass. - H.Z.

To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture. - T.P.

Got to see a 35mm print a few years back, brought some friends who'd never seen it. It was wonderful. Too bad the theater, since revamping, no longer has a film projector. What a waste.

Higher bitrate or not, the Criterion release looks better judging by the caps.

http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...ID=235#auswahl

One could make the argument that opening the matte to 1.78 sucks, but it's never bothered me personally, and the better color and contrast tweaks on the Criterion make it the winner in my mind. It also looks better compressed; a high bitrate won't mean much if the encoding isn't done well.

Helps that I dig digipaks, also. That art on the Criterion package is too cool.

I still have some REPO MAN shirts left.

I had these sweet t-shirts made up for me and my friends. I have some extras for sale. If anyone in the lower 48 U.S. is interested, send me a private message. The shipping rates for me to send them outside the lower 48 U.S. are outrageous and wouldn't be worth it.

Both designs are nice in their own way, so if you're a huge fan get both. I gotta say that Criterion's disc art is probably the coolest and most clever design gimmick I've seen of any DVD/blu ray. And there are other reasons other than cover art to get both version - they each have some exclusive extras that the other one doesn't have, and the film is presented in slightly different aspect ratios on the two versions. Crtierion's image quality is better but it's not night and day better and Eureka's is still pretty nice.

Did anyone order the Criterion from Amazon over the recent months, and if so what condition did it arrive in? Were the corners mashed in and rounded?
