I do recommend it for $16, but liking Coraline doesn't factor much here. This is a comedy first and foremost, so check out some clips and trailers to see whether you like the sense of humor before buying.

I blind-bought, after not going to see it in the theater, since it was only playing in 3-D, which I dislike.

I just finished watching it, and am very happy with my purchase.

The story is great, the characters are likeable, and it has some really funny moments.

The PQ is PERFECT. I didn't find anything wrong with it, not even a banding.
Simply spectacular!!! It is so rare, that PQ is flawless, but this is it.
I am curious, if I am going to spot some errors the second time around, but nothing distracting at all the first time around.

The AQ is terrific as well, and there are some incredible moments.
Reference for me!

I really enjoyed this film, and will definitely watch it more than once.

I liked Coraline too.
It's different, so I wouldn't compare them too much.

I never watch horror films, but I loved the design for the zombies.
That was the initial reason to see it for me.

My rating:

Film 4/5
PQ: 5/5
AQ: 5/5

Haven't watched any of the extras yet, but it appears to be a healthy selection.

Where is this U-Control Picture-in-Picture track? I put the disc in 2 of my Blu-ray players and I can't find it anywhere. Both Blu-ray player can play Picture-in-Picture tracks.

Just watched this for the first time tonight. Wonderful movie! And funny too. The visuals were jaw-dropping. I couldn't believe the clarity and beauty of the claymation. Definitely gonna be on the look out for the blu.

I don't think ParaNorman uses clay models.

Sadly, ever since the Claymation craze of the 80's, most people just assume all stop-motion characters are made of clay.

The technique used to make Paranorman is very unique. It's aided by 3D printing. It's crazy how time intensive stop motion animation is.

Paranorman is even more of a marvel to look at after seeing that

Glad I'm not the only one! It would appear that the PIP track is on the 2D only release. It appears to have been dropped to fit the 3D version on the disc.
NATHAN: Alice, please. Your dog, Alice. It and my appetite are mutually exclusive.
ALICE: Well, what's wrong with the dog?
NATHAN: Simple. He's been licking his a**hole for the last three straight hours. I submit to you that there is nothing there worth more than an hour's attention. I should think that whatever he is attempting to dislodge is either gone for good, or there to stay.

Lots of fun. Had a terrific experience with this in cinemas. Not quite as good as Coraline but damn fine nonetheless.
