Guys I need some suggestions regarding which protective sleeves to try out ..

So far I've just tried the blu-steel's SteelShells, and I think they're a bit loose if you display your steels without any j-card (like I do), and I also feel that they're a bit too shiny/glossy, making the steel look 'plastic-y', and thus takes away the contained steel's beauty

So any suggestions ?

Their description states that they can cater for j-cards too, which means that since I don't tend to include my j-cards, the slipcovers might be loose ..

Any idea which of them will have the tightest fit ?

I believe the SC2 model would be your guy, those sound like they're designed for housing steels without the J-card. The SC3 is a little bit looser so the J-card can be included.

I've never used them so I can't promise they'll fit perfect or anything, but from the descriptions, SC2 sounds like what you're looking for.

Yes I think you're right .. I think I'll get a pack of 10 and see what they're link .. My other complaint with the SteelShells was that they're very shiny/glossy .. I hope these ones aren't that glossy.

Yeah, I'm not sure you'll be able to get away from that since all steel protectors I've ever seen have been made of the same plastic. I hope they're exactly what you're looking for though!

Steelbook Central has changed there slipcovers some, as in material, thickness and what not, the biggest change will be price as it will be pretty lower in price. I will be doing a review on a few of the slips soon.

Also any one know what happened to movie style? there site has been off line for a few months

I work at a college as a janitor even though I feel like I'm smarter than most of the people who go there. Sometimes I see an equation written on a blackboard like half an equation and... I just figure it out.

I was wondering the same thing. I really liked their slip covers. Fit an opened steelbook and a regular slipcover very well. I hope that they come back up soon. But in the mean while I will be trying steelbookcentral.com.

I will be interested in hearing what you think of the Steelbook Central ones. I just ran out of my SteelShells and although I am not dissatisfied with their product and would gladly buy them, I need some G1 covers for some DVD and video game Steelbooks and Blu-Steels doesn't sell any in G1 size. Steelbook Central has some G1 sized ones.
