![]() Skeptical to this, but hopefully they've used the time and money... like Top Gun, Titanic, 2012? New record in old movie being converted to 3D ? Last edited by eriaur; 02-17-2013 at 04:23 PM. |

Just not a supporter of converting movies that were not 3D to begin with.

Saw some 3D screen shots of this yesterday. Hard pass. In line with the infamous German 3D conversions unfortunately.

Is it possible for us to get a link if you viewed these on a website? Don't just tease us about seeing the screenshots and not let us evaluate the 3D quality ourselves.
You can't spell film without ILM - Industrial Light & Magic

I just did a web search and it looks like two days ago someone uploaded a 1080p 3D version of this onto torrent sites. They are using this 3D blu-ray cover art in it's description but the sample frames are clearly self converted using an auto 3D converter program. If those are what Mikeatron85 saw I highly doubt it is what Fox will be releasing. The same user who uploaded it has uploaded lots of self converted crap that looks like the German 3D Blu-Rays.

Wasn't teasing, just posting from work so difficult to get the links.
Here's a few: http://postimage.org/image/t5st5d39z/ http://postimage.org/image/dgk5ga7hh/ http://postimage.org/image/cymipaw9j/ http://postimage.org/image/4bge03gij/ Tigermoth is probably absolutely correct in saying these have come from the rip floating around online. I haven't downloaded it so I can't say for sure (but given that the caps are in side-by-side format, it's pretty much a given). However, the Blu-ray has been released has it not? If so, isn't it likely that the rip going around online has been sourced from this? I wasn't aware that Fox were in charge of converting this? However, there had been talk of an Imax release, which, if that is indeed the case, there's not a chance in hell that the version from which these caps have been taking is what's hitting Imax |

Sorry this is MGM/Sony not Fox. It hasn't been released anywhere yet. The screen caps are definitely from a cheap auto convert program.

The best would be if it was filmed in 3DD Should be a crime to release "3D" Blu-rays made with cheap auto convert programs. Almost less depth than the 2D Blu-ray. 1.8D |
