I watched my copy of Brainiac Attacks. It's presented in its original 1.78:1 aspect ratio and has a much better surround mix than I remembered from the DVD. The picture quality is fairly typical of WB Animation's direct-to-video productions from its original date of 2006. If you have seen the Batman Beyond Blu-ray, you know what to expect.
I still do not get the animosity some have against it. Are some bitter that Bruce Timm had nothing to do with it? Outside of Lex being written as very glib and the horrible voice work for Brainiac, the story itself is a classic Superman tale. There is a cheesy fake-out in the story near the climax which I won't spoil, but the basic plot is fairly decent. |

I should have been more clear, I guess. Instead of strictly answering him on vudu.

Movies like Sub-Zero and Return of the Joker were just feature extensions of their TV series, and produced on the same assembly lines, as this was on Superman:TAS's. (And yes, this was back when they were wondering how much of Gene Hackman to officially retcon back into Luthor.) Just because you kids have it so good today.... |

Well, it's also just not that good. It's a major step backwards in regards to the quality of storytelling that they were doing at the time. Bruce Timm or no Bruce Timm -- I don't care whose name is on it, if the finished product is the same, I will continue to not like it.

I was able to order Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman from BB for $8.35 pming Buy.com (now called Rakuten). They don't carry it in-store, so if you're looking for an option cheaper than WBshop's $9.95, this is something to consider. Remember their shipping is free, while Buy.com's is not.

Brainiac Attacks the first Superman shit I've watched in about a year and I loved the fight scenes with him and the giant Brainiac. It's not a perfect movie but it's better than the live Superman 1,3-4.
So both releases have awesome PQ and totally worth the price. If you love Batman & Superman then get them. Now we need TAS on Blu-ray and we are all set.
