Default Aspect ratio differences in danish editions

Hi. I'm from Denmark and this is my first post so bear with me if the grammar and spelling is off

In the danish blu-ray release of 'Seven Psychopaths' the aspect ratio is 1.85:1. On the included DVD the aspect ratio is 2.35:1. Has anyone any clue whatsoever why this is? On the US and UK BD editions the aspect ratio also is 2.35:1.

On Imdb the correct aspect ratio is listed as 2.35:1. Imdb also lists the source format as 3 perf. Super 35 film. Why would the change it to 1.85:1??? Could it be that they opened the matte on only the danish release, so that there is more picture information on the top and bottom on the danish edition?

PS. This is also the case on the danish release of 'Warrior'

Kind regards
Allan S.

Good question, but it sounds like your Danish distributor got a hold of a HDTV master or something of the like. Alliance has the habit of doing the same thing in Canada.

Yeah, but then why is the DVD in 2.35:1? It makes no sense to me

That's the perplexing part. Maybe the DVD came from a different supplier.

Second time. Either the review of the PQ here is way off or red box is passing off DVD's as Blus's. My rented copy tonight was not 5.0 at all more like 3.3. ugh!

I'm not too worried about the missing slip, but as far as I'm aware from reviews and seeing copies in stores the blu-ray has no such features. Is this a modified edition somehow? Has anyone else received this same edition?
I recently noticed this, picking up a copy in a store to look at the back, and took a picture of it, which caused several people who own the disc to confirm that the discs they bought on the release date did not have those extras. When it drops, I'll get the new disc, but it is certainly a mystery -- I can't think of any other Blu-Ray that was secretly upgraded within a few months of its initial release.

EDIT: I took a picture.

I love this movie so I'll probably pick up the version with more special features when it hits the $5 mark. Still, kind of lame that they re-released it with new features instead of including them initially.
