Wow, thanks for posting that.

It's a great reminder (or informer) that before home video ever existed, the chain of flow was: theatrical release and then eventual TV broadcast.

And when that TV broadcast first happened, it was BIG NEWS.

Not like today when kids are streaming new releases movies while they are still in the theatre....

Yep. I mind it was a big deal when Star Wars was first shown on network tv (1984/5?). There were celebrities talking about how the film impacted them during the commercial breaks. Taped it on Beta but sadly it's lost to time now.
My Digital Codes will not be sold or given away. Buy your own Blu Rays.

I saw Jaws when I was 9 in the summer of 75, took 3 weeks working on my Mom before she finally caved in, was it worth it.
HECK YEAH!!!
The Ghostbusters earned their Stripes and to relax decided to go play golf, but got locked in the Caddyshack by the Gopher with The Blues Brothers who are hiding from a Dragnet but luckily they all escaped to The Great Outdoors, where they met a ranger who turned out to be The Man Who Knew Too Little because everything he said was Lost In Translation.
