The picture and sound are good, but apparently it's a barebones release.
Are those screenshots from the actual disc? I hope not! There is some horrid edge enhancement going on there.

A clear upgrade over the DVD, but the DNR is obvious. Not a great release.

I agree. The fine detail is marginally better, but the grain appears to be smoothed out a bit. I am assuming that an older master was used and then they pulled out the digital tinkering. Worth the upgrade, but at no more than $10 IMHO.

Just had a quick skip through the disc, Massive upgrade in PQ. Some shots look soft and others look super sharp and detailed. Very pleased with it overall. As usual it looks much better than those screenshots in motion

Looks like the French version (out Feb 6) will feature the classic artwork:

I think I'll get this one, even though it's too bad that the title won't be in original English. The other artwork is just too horrible.

Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk. Gift-wrap available.

By the way, Marathon Man has also been listed at amazon.co.uk. Another 70s classic. Also region free. Also with a release date of 6/3/13. I ordered those 2 plus Two Mules for Sister Sara (also region-free, also 6/3/13) for $54.50 U.S. Shipping included. A little over $18 apiece.

Will they all be released in the U.S. before the end of the year? Probably? Maybe? Would I be able to buy them in the U.S. for cheaper than at amazon.co.uk? Most definitely. The cover sleeve artwork sucks for all 3 but at least I'll have them on blu-ray finally.

The funniest part about that scene is when Al repeats it he says, "Charlie's butt?"

That was great.

I also like the King of the Mountain game that Frank and English play and how throughout the movie the men had nothing but respect for each other.

Was released over here in February, surprised the US still hasn't got a release date.
